Top 40 Country Songs for April 2019
No one in country music is hotter than Luke Combs right now. Earlier this week, the North Carolina native made history by being the first artist to simultaneously top all five Billboard country charts for multiple weeks.
From the Top Country Albums chart to the Hot Country Songs to Country Airplay, a moment like Combs' reign at the top of the charts isn't seen very often. Once again, it lands him and his hit song "Beautiful Crazy" at the top of Taste of Country's Top 40 Country Songs for the month of April.
Combs' strength looks to continue throughout at least the first few weeks of April, as the ACM Award winner for New Male Vocalist of the Year and nominee for Male Vocalist of the Year is sure to keep his momentum going long after the awards are handed out. The country powerhouse also announced his plans this week for a fall tour alongside fellow hotshot Morgan Wallen.
However, our thinking is that we are nearing the end of the reign of "Beautiful Crazy." As the April chart shows, there are plenty of country artists gearing up to take the top spot in the near future. Specifically, the momentum behind Michael Ray's "One That Got Away," Thomas Rhett's "Look What God Gave Her" and Kacey Musgraves' "Rainbow" all look promising going into May.
For now, Combs reigns supreme.
