Keith Urban, Luke Bryan + More on 2019 ACM Awards Performers List
Keith Urban and Luke Bryan head up a list of country singers who have been added to the 2019 ACM Awards performers.
Blake Shelton and Old Dominion have also been added to the star-studded lineup. Bryan is slated to give the live debut performance of his new single, "Knockin' Boots," and Shelton will perform his latest, "God's Country."
They join previously announced performers that include Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Brooks & Dunn, Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley, Dan + Shay, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett and many more.
The Academy of Country Music announced the first round of performers for the upcoming show on March 12, including legends and some of the biggest contemporary country acts. Brothers Osborne, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, George Strait and Reba McEntire are also slated to perform at the 2019 ACM Awards, which McEntire will host. A list of artists announced on March 19 includes Brandi Carlile, Florida Georgia Line and Ashley McBryde. Jason Aldean is set to receive the Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award during the broadcast, and he is also scheduled to perform.
George Strait and Lambert will team for a collaboration as part of a segment titled ACM Flashbacks, which honors classic country hits and artists whose music continues to have influence over a long period of time. Lambert is also slated to perform a flashback medley of her greatest hits.
Florida Georgia Line and Aldean will team to perform "Can't Hide Red," and This Is Us star Chrissy Metz will team with Carrie Underwood, Maddie & Tae and Mickey Guyton to perform a song called "I'm Standing With You," from the soundtrack to her new film, Breakthrough.
Other all-star collaborations for the 2019 ACM Awards include Brooks & Dunn with Luke Combs, Khalid with Kane Brown, Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley and Brandi Carlile, Eric Church with Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay with Kelly Clarkson and Maren Morris with Brothers Osborne.
Chris Stapleton and Dan + Shay lead the 2019 ACM Awards nominations with six apiece, while Kacey Musgraves is right behind them with five ACM nods in three categories in 2019. Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha all received four ACM Awards nominations.
Aldean, Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Stapleton and Urban will face off for the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year.
The 2019 ACM Awards are set to air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7, at 8PM ET on CBS.
